Guilin is one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Situated in South China, Guilin is like a glittering pearl on a green carpet, the scenery here enjoys the highest praise even from the Chinese people as “the finest landscape under heaven". The name of the city is derived from the Osmanthus trees which are called "Gui hua shu" in Chinese. One can see the olive green leaved green Osmanthus trees standing at almost every roadside all over the city. When the autumn comes, the fragrance of the blossoming trees covered with their tiny yellow flowers wafts along on the gentle breezes through the city, filling the air with the most exquisite fragrance. The scent is like no other, all at once, refreshing, revitalizing sweet and uplifting relaxing and calming.

Li River - The most beautiful scenes of Guilin scenery are found along the Li River. The hills beyond hills with their reflections in the crystal water are like fairy land, the green bamboo greets you all the way along the river in the breeze; the water buffaloes eating grass casually; the ducks swimming along the river; the fisherman fishing or catnapping on the bamboo rafts with his cormorants resting peacefully next to him, it's God dotted landscape. "Serenity" is a word poet tried to describe; "story-book-mountains" is kids say about the hills. Chinese traditional paintings are what Chinese artists have been trying to depict the scenery for thousands of years. But the natural beauty of the Li River is indeed beyond any descriptions, you have to be there to see with your own eyes and to feel with your own heart.

It is recommended to take a cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo to enjoy the beautiful scenery on the sides of the river, which takes about 4 hrs.

Moon Hill – it is a great limestone peak with a naturally created moon-shaped cavern passing through just below its summit.

The Moon Hill was a spectacle of Yangshuo, and it is located in the aside the Fenglou Village of Gaotian Township, up to more than 380 meters high. Moon Hill is located in end of the Ten-Miles Gallery Scenic Spot. Here the beautiful scenery is simple but elegant of primitive simplicity, quiet and comfortable.

Yangshuo West Street - West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. It now becomes a place that mixes the eastern and western culture harmoniously.

Yangshuo West Street, is a pedestrian street of Yangshuo county, Guilin city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in Yangshuo town center, about 8 meters wide, 800 meters long, slightly presents the east-west orientation, the east side is to the Binjiang road, west to Pantao road, and meets the Xianqian street, Chengzhong road in the middle. After 1400 years, it is the busiest and the oldest street in Yangshuo, and also one of important tourist attractions in Yangshuo.

Big Banyan Tree - It is said to have a history of nearly 1,400 years and has survived centuries of wind and rain. Yangshuo Big Banyan Tree is located in the Moon Hill Scenic Area of Yangshuo County and it is a thousand years old tree. Its circumference is unexpectedly 7 meters long, 17 meters high, leafy with thick shade, and its leaves can shade more than one hundred square meters. Big Banyan Tree is a famous scenic spot of Yangshuo, Guilin.

Yulong River is as beautiful as Li River. A lot of other places of historic interest and scenic beauty, together with all the above-mentioned, contribute to the worldwide fame of Yangshuo as a scenic spot.

Yulong River is a river in Yangshuo county, refers to the section of Baisha to the Big Banyan Tree Gongnong Bridge, about 16 kilometers long, 38 to 61 meters wide, 0.5 to 2 meters deep. On both sides of the Yulong River, the mountains and peaks are delicate and pretty remarkable, stretching for miles with all shapes. The riverbank is green like grass, lush bamboo, and numerous shady trees. The water in a river is like a green jade, clean and bright.

Longsheng Longji Rice Terraces Scenic Area – it covers an area of 70.1 square kilometers. Longji Old Village Cultural Terraced Fields is a part of the scenic area located in Longji Village. The terrace field in Longji Old Village has a high ornamental value of humanistic and terraced fields ornamental value. There are 300 families live in this village with a population of over 1300. The surname of the people here are Liao, Hou and Pan, they are all North Zhuang people.
